Ohio Department of Veterans Services
Art by Veterans and for Veterans on Display in Ohio’s Capital City.
"Art Inspired by the Front Lines" With Veterans Day approaching, now is as appropriate a time as any to reflect on the positive impact our brave service members have made as well as the toll of their sacrifice. What better way to do that than to take in the many impressive art pieces that soon will be on display.
DVS joined forces with the Ohio Arts Council to host “Art Inspired by the Front Lines,” the exhibit will feature drawings, paintings, photographs and three-dimensional pieces that display the courage, dedication and struggle of service members and veterans.
These compelling works of art will be on display Oct. 18th through Nov. 13th in the High Street lobby of the Vern Riffe Center, 77 S. High St. in Columbus. A public ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held beginning at 11:00 a.m. on Oct. 18 to celebrate the opening of the exhibit. Many thanks to all the artists for their creativity and devotion to the military.
